Epson Firmware Update For P-Series Printers

Due to the continuing chip shortage, Epson UltraChrome HD and HDX ink cartridges of all sizes will transition to a different design with new part numbers. These part numbers are now becoming available at IT Supplies. Prior to using these new cartridges, you MUST update your firmware. To help with this, we have created a video on how to update your firmware.  Once updated, you will be able to use both the old and the new part numbers.  Please note that the ink formulation has not changed. This is simply a chip change.

This change septically affects the Epson SureColor P6000, P7000, P8000, and P9000 printers worldwide. Newer printers like the P7570 and P9570 are not impacted by this announcement. To learn specifics on which inks are affected, please click on the link below. This link references the old ink part numbers and their replacements.

Reminder: To use these new cartridges, the printers require new firmware BEFORE installing the new cartridges in the printer or running out of ink in the current cartridges. For that reason, it is critical that all customers update their printer to the latest firmware as soon as possible.
